Welcome to the website of the IEEE Deakin University Student Branch!
The student branch is located with Deakin University’s Waurn Ponds Campus in Geelong, Victoria, Australia and accepts members from all streams of Engineering and IT, regardless of whether they are studying, teaching or working.
The student branch aims to connect YOU to other like-minded students and professionals, and provide training in useful software and business skills such as presentations, computer aided design and management.Apart from the formal side of the branch, there is also a vibrant social component encompassing various events such as barbeques, dinners and other meet and greet events.
The IEEE is a worldwide professional association for spreading technological innovation for the benefit of humanity. IEEE stands for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, however the Institute encompasses many streams of engineering and information technology aside from these.
